  13. If you think, bootpic viewers are slow and cause memory
  14. fragmentation, you should give ShowAmiga96 a try:
  15.  
  16. Unlike the others, this viewer saves the pictures as raw-data
  17. and can load them directly into the Picasso-bitmap.
  18. Another important feature is that the screen only exists in
  19. gfx-board memory. So during boot no extra amiga memory is
  20. used and fragmentation is minimized.

  23. If you think, bootpic viewers must offer many fade effects,
  24. a lot of screen action during startup and a handy user
  25. interface and have to cause memory fragmentation, you should
  26. give ShowAmiga96 a try ;-)

  28. This viewer is able to fade from the bootpic to Workbench
  29. without a noticable screen switch. While booting, SA96 can
  30. display an unlimited number of transfer anims. To configure
  31. all viewer settings you use the MUI-based prefs program.

  99. Wer denkt, Bootbild Anzeiger sind langsam und verursachen Speicher
  100. Fragmentierung, sollte mal einen Blick auf ShowAmiga96 werfen:

  102. Im Gegensatz zu anderen Anzeigern speichert ShowAmiga96 die Bilder
  103. als Rohdaten, wodurch sie direkt in die Picasso-Bitmap geladen
  104. werden können.
  105. Eine weitere Besonderheit ist, daß die Bilddaten nur im Grafik-
  106. kartenspeicher existieren. So wird während des Bootvorgangs
  107. nicht unnötig Amiga-Speicher verschwendet und die Fragmentierung
  108. minimiert.

  111. Wer denkt, Bootbild Anzeiger müssen viele Überblendeffekte, eine
  112. Menge Action während des Bootvorgangs und eine praktische Be-
  113. nutzeroberfläche bieten, ohne die Speicher Fragmentierung zu
  114. kurz kommen zu lassen, sollte mal einen Blick auf SA96 werfen ;-)

  116. ShowAmiga96 kann vom Bootbild auf die Workbench überblenden, ohne
  117. daß der Bildschirmwechsel zu bemerken ist. Während des Bootens
  118. kann eine beliebige Anzahl Transfer-Anims abgespielt werden. Alle
  119. Einstellungen werden in einem komfortablen MUI-basierenden Prefs-
  120. Programm vorgenommen.
